„In PhoQS, we work intensively together as colleagues from different disciplines to create something new in the field of quantum photonics and to bring basic research into application.”

Prof. Dr. Christine Silberhorn,
Spokesperson of the Institute for Photonic Quantum Systems (PhoQS)

New research building for interdisciplinary cutting-edge research in the field of photonic quantum systems

In the international "Photonic Quantum Systems Laboratory" (PhoQS Lab), scientists from experimental and theoretical physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics will work together on an interdisciplinary basis in a building with state-of-the-art technological infrastructure. The aim is to develop new research approaches in the technological development of photon-based quantum applications and in the theoretical and experimental conceptualisation of scalable quantum photonics.
