zdi.Paderborn and coolMINT-Schülerlabor celebrated their 15th anniversary on 9 November 2025 on Family Day at the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum. To mark the anniversary, the Paderborn network partners came together for a big day of experimentation to give visitors an insight into their activities. The Institute of Photonic Quantum Systems was represented on site as part of the network and opened the door to quantum research in Paderborn to visitors through hands-on experiments. Many families and interested parties took up the offer and participated in the experiments with great interest.
Representatives of the Heinz Nixdorf Foundation and politicians were also present. Prof Dr Risch, Chairman of the Heinz Nixdorf Foundation, Stefan-Oliver Strate, Mayor of the City of Paderborn, Prof Dr Matthias Bauer, President of Paderborn University, and Elmar Schmitz, representative of the Ministry of Culture and Science NRW, visited the stands and tried out one or two of the experiments for themselves.
zdi.Paderborn and cool.MINT-Schülerlabor can look back on 15 successful years of MINT promotion. We are delighted to be part of the network and would like to thank them for their successful collaboration to date. Here's to the next 15 successful years!
