About us
At PhoQs, scientists from five disciplines are working on research into photonic, i.e. light-driven, quantum technologies. It thus serves as a nucleus for highly innovative interdisciplinary research at the interfaces of photonics, optoelectronics and quantum optics, computer science, mathematics, and electrical engineering and information technology. The focus is on understanding and controlling quantum information and communication systems, which will ultimately be used in novel quantum applications.
Between the poles of basic research and application, researchers pursue the common goal of establishing a nationally and internationally leading research center in the field of photonic quantum computing.
