Best Student Paper Award for Dr. Hendrik Rose at the SPIE Photonics West 2023

After two years of contributing with videos to the virtual meetings, this year Hendrik Rose could finally go to San Francisco and present a talk at the SPIE Photonics West.

In his presentation entitled “Theoretical analysis of four-wave mixing on semiconductor quantum dot ensembles with quantum light” Hendrik showed the results of simulations of four-wave mixing performed on ensembles of quantum dots for the excitation with quantum light pulses. He obtained several interesting signatures and demonstrated that the signals have the form of photon echoes which depend on the type of the considered incident quantum pulses.

This work is the result of an experiment-theory collaboration of the Technical University Dortmund and Paderborn University (project A02 (I. Akimov/T. Meier) of the TRR 142).

For his excellent paper Hendrik received the Best Student Paper Award of the conference on “Ultrafast Phenomena and Nanophotonics XXVII”.

We congratulate Dr. Hendrik Rose on this outstanding award and wish him all the best in his new position as Infrastructure Team Member at PhoQS.
