Horizon Europe is the European Union's framework program for research and innovation in Europe for the period of 2021 – 2027. On March 14, the Ministry of Culture and Science in North Rhine-Westphalia (MKW) organized a half-time event entitled "Horizont Europa.NRW – Erfolge im Blick". The Institute for Photonic Quantum Systems (PhoQS) was also represented at this event, which took place in Düsseldorf: The LINQs project, which is led by Prof. Dr. Klaus Jöns in the context of an ERC grant, was displayed. In addition, the PhoQS was highlighted as an model example for the development of a new scientific discipline.
Prof. Klaus Jöns, Dr. Christina Alpmann and Daniela Gerdes represented the project and the PhoQS in Düsseldorf. At the exhibition accompanying the half-time event, there was a lively exchange between actors from science and politics – among others, Prof. Jöns had a conversation with Minister Ina Brandes. A digital project stand of LINQs can now be viewed on the MKW e-portal. Here, you will also find a film with exciting insights into research at Paderborn University.
The LINQs project is funded by the European Research Council (ERC) as part of the European Union's Horizon Europe research and innovation program since September 2022 for a period of five years. Further information about the project can be found here.
