Grand opening of the PhoQS Lab
We are delighted to be celebrating the launch of the Photonic Quantum Systems Laboratory (PhoQS Lab) at Paderborn University on 26 February 2026 together with you, representatives of politics and science.
With the new research building, the University and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia have created a modern environment for photonic quantum research in Paderborn University. Researchers from the fields of theoretical and experimental physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics work together here. In a building with state-of-the-art laboratories and cleanroom technologies, the Paderborn researchers can work closely with each other and jointly develop new research approaches for photon-based quantum technologies with a focus on fundamental research.
On this day, we are not only celebrating a new research building, but also the excellent research that is being carried out here - with a ceremony and scientific symposium.
We look forward to seeing you there!
