Open House 2026

On 31 May 2026, the Institute of Photonic Quantum Systems will open its doors to anyone who would like to take a look behind the scenes of photonic quantum research. Visitors can expect an exciting day full of insights, experiments and dialogue with our scientists.

Experience first-hand how research is created: from the initial idea to its application in everyday life and society. There is a varied programme for families and children with hands-on stations, small experiments to try out and guided tours of our laboratories to find out more about our current projects in the fields of quantum communication, quantum computing, quantum metrology and quantum simulation.
