18th International Conference on Nonlinear Optics and Excitation Kinetics in Semiconductors (NOEKS 18)

Date: September 26-30, 2027
Venue: Main auditorium of Paderborn University

NOEKS 18 will continue a successful conference series which started in 1987 and has since then taken place at several locations in Germany. NOEKS 18 provides a focused forum for presenting and discussing current advances in the optical and quantum optical properties and the nonequilibrium dynamics of semiconductor systems. Its main goal is to bring together leading international researchers and early-career scientists working at the interface of semiconductor physics, photonics, materials science, and quantum technology in order to promote the exchange of scientific ideas, foster and initiate new research directions with cross-fertilization across disciplines. NOEKS 18 addresses fundamental questions in both experiment and theory concerning light-matter interaction, many-body phenomena, carrier and exciton dynamics, ultrafast processes, and nonlinear optical and quantum optical effects in established and emerging semiconductor materials. Particular attention is given to low-dimensional systems, quantum dots, two-dimensional materials and van der Waals heterostructures, nanophotonic structures as well as semiconductor-based quantum-optical applications and devices.
